  • We just finished up a couple new tracks in the studio that we wanted to share with you....check 'em out. They'll be available on iTunes soon!
  • So this past weekend, while trying to post My Peoples stickers and flyers everywhere on Haight St., I figured I head down to Amoeba Records to give them our new "My Peoples" EP.  I believe they now have it stocked in the Rock section selling at less than $5. That's pretty cheap and I think better than iTunes because you get the actual physical copy unless you're too cool for CDs. If anything it could make as a really cool table coaster, right? Here's a little promo Steve and I made about finding our new "My Peoples" EP at Amoeba Records in San Francisco. Also check out the Amoeba Records blog

  • What's your favorite Amy Winehouse song? Instead of making reason of her death and accusing her of what we possibly could never truly know, I hope we can remember what she has left behind: her raw beautiful talent. Although you lived a short life, Amy Winehouse your spirit will always live on in the hearts of many. Thank you for coming into this world and touching so many lives including mine. Aloha-MikeD; To read more about her genius as an artist click here. You Know I'm No Good (Lyrics by Amy Winehouse) Meet you dowstairs in the bar and hurt, Your rolled up sleeves in your skull t-shirt, You say 'What did you do with him today?', And sniffed me out like I was Tanqueray, 'Cause you're my fella my guy, Hand me your Stella and fly, By the time I'm out the door, You tear men down like Roger Moore, I cheated myself, Like I knew I would, I told you I was trouble, You know that I'm no good, Upstairs in bed with my ex boy, He's in a place but I can't get joy, Thinking on you in the final throes, This is when my buzzer goes, Run out to meet you, chips and pitta, You say 'when we married', 'cause you're not bitter, 'There'll be none of him no more', I cried for you on the kitchen floor, I cheated myself, Like I knew I would, I told you I was trouble, You know that I'm no good, Sweet reunion Jamaica and Spain, We're like how we were again, I'm in the tub, you on the seat, Lick your lips as I soap my feet, Then you notice likkle carpet burn, My stomach drop and my guts churn, You shrug and it's the worst, Who truly stuck the knife in first I cheated myself, Like I knew I would, I told you I was trouble, You know that I'm no good, I cheated myself, Like I knew I would, I told you I was trouble, You know that I'm no good. What's your favorite Amy Winehouse song?

So I thought I'd repost this very useful video about making an effective band/artist one sheet. -Enjoy-MikeD;

  • For those who don't know what planking is I highly recommend looking it up on youtube. It's the craze that has swept the world. So we had to try it. I mean, what's the big deal about it? You just lay there. How hard could that be? So on our way to Monterey for the 2nd Annual California Roots Festival, we stopped at Safeway to pick up some essentials: beer, chips, and fruits (mostly beer I think). On our way out I'm not sure how the discussion started but there I was attempting to do my very first plank on a moving shopping cart. A little scary at first as you build up speed but well worth the video memory as you can see below. What was I thinking? (MikeD;)
